As the unusually mild days keep coming, the bees’ arrival day is in mere weeks. So, to prepare for their arrival, we picked up the hive from Chris the bee guy in Wayne, Illinois earlier this weekend. Tucked just past the general store circa the 1800s was his yellow house, bee workshop, and store front all in one. The hive now sits in our backyard, awaiting the arrival of the 3,000 ladies that will soon call it home.
